Application Changes
As you may have noticed, the application I made before wasdisgusting removed, and we now have two new applications for you to choose from!
Standard:
The standard application asks for a bit more depth, and is coded in a much nicer way. This is my personal preference, and I advise you to edit it only in Preview mode to avoid confusion. Nothing in it is optional; but you do have the choice between paragraphs and bullet points. You may add things and edit the appearance as you wish, but do not take anything away!
Basic:
This application is much easier for those new to coding; it's very easy to edit and understand. It has all of the same information as the Standard application, but is much more user-friendly and to-the-point. You may use bullets or paragraphs here as well, but since there is a basic outline set to help you crank out some information about your newplaytoy character, it should be easier to get your ideas into words.
Before you get all huffy, you will be pleased to know that you do NOT have to remake any of your previous character applications to fit the new format. I'd like it if you did, because it'd be more uniform (and most of you know how nit picky I am), but you don't have to!
Guil's Resignation
It is to my great sadness to announce that our beloved administrator and moderator of several years, HellPuppy Gilly , has chosen to resign from Reality Shift completely. She's been here since before I have, and has definitely been an enormous help in the rambunctious rollercoaster that is RS. She is adamant that everyone knows her characters are not dead; they've simply just vanished. You can find her announcement in the Exits & Entrances board if you would like to wish her farewell.
Skin Changes
As you may have noticed, I have reverted back to a previous skin made by Casey. This is because I am extremely impatient with coding and decided the old skin would not fit my nit picky desires. So, expect another skin change in the near future!
Bits & Pieces
Here and there you will find things that are being edited (like the sidebars, for example) and added. Please be patient as Akee and I continue to edit the site, and don't be afraid to (nicely) point out anything that looks off! If you would like to see anything added, don't hesitate to tell us about it! We'd love to know what you want, and I'm always looking for new codes and ideas tomake me hate myself and the world spruce things up!
Advertising & Activity
A roleplay site is nothing without its members. So, to give our members incentive to advertise, Akee and I will be opening an RS Gallery for you guys to buy things from -- with the new point system we will be installing! Keep an eye out for this, because there will be many ways to earn points, advertising being a big one! If you have any ideas for what we can include in this store and more ways you could earn points, please please please throw your ideas at us! As activity starts to pick up, we will be holding Of the Months and contests and such! Yay!
Rule Changes
Please make sure you periodically reread the rules. There will be changes in activity expectations, as well as other things. There will also be more informational threads on the way, so please read up as they come!
